Summary

The Production Manager provides leadership to the manufacturing, planning and materials teams at the Mesa AZ location.  This position utilizes cross functional leadership, technical knowledge and communication skills to ensure customers receive a quality product on time while continually striving to improve operational efficiencies and overall performance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the Manufacturing and Process Engineering functions within the Cable Manufacturing, Cable Assembly, and specialty products operations.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing of products in line with company goals and objectives.
  • Develop a strong and effective team by providing coaching/mentorship of team members.
  • Implement a team structure to grow and support the business.
  • Recommend necessary resources to ensure success, including capital equipment, trained team members, appropriate facilities, effective infrastructure, and materials.
  • Focus on results and achieve shipment goals (revenue and OTD).
  • Coordinate with other manufacturing sites (West Palm Beach, FL, Wallingford, CT)
  • Deliver on targets for key performance metrics: quality, cost/productivity, inventory and on-time delivery.
  • Organize and direct workflow to meet production requirements in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Promote and drive compliance with all standard operating procedures.
  • Drive superior customer service (on-time delivery and responsiveness).
  • Advance a culture of continuous improvement by applying lean manufacturing, Six-Sigma and other appropriate techniques.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High-level leadership and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership presence to motivate, influence, and train people
  • Able to interact with a variety of company functions and a diverse group of personalities
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to interact well with customers
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth industry; willing to be hands-on and take initiative
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High sense of urgency
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Proficient with ERP software and reporting tools; Oracle preferred
