Efficiently operate radio communication

Physical dexterity, coordination, mobility and visual acuity to safely perform essential functions of the position

Walking, Speaking, Listening, Seeing, Bending, Climbing Stairs

General Responsibilities
  • Place the welfare of all children first and foremost in completion of all duties.
  • Maintain an effective, professional demeanor at all times by establishing and maintaining rapport with all contacts including supervisor, children, parents, staff, vendors and contractors.
  • Consistently be aware that you are representing Stanfield Elementary School to the general public and be professional and willing to help where required.
  • Maintain an up-to-date listing of school buses, assigned drivers and students.
  • Assure ready access to an up-to-date route sheet for each scheduled route to assure timely services and accurate information.
  • Maintains an accurate daily attendance roster of staff
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of roads and streets within the District boundaries and the locations of current stops
  • Maintain all GFA information in appropriate software such as tagging, tracking, surplus etc.
  • Prepare payroll for transportation and maintenance departments
Communications
  • Answer all communications as quickly as possible.
  • Communicate with parents, supervisors, school administrators and department employees; receive requests, questions, concerns and suggestions and provide routine information and assistance or route to appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate with department employees, dispatching them to needed locations to respond to routine requests or emergency situations.
  • Comply with Federal Communications Commission rules and regulations.
  • Update bus information and student ridership on current transportation online system
  • Manage calendar for Operations Manager
Documentation
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner and given to Operations Manager.
  • Submit and track all requisitions for operations departments.
  • Perform a variety of clerical support duties as assigned; type correspondence, memos, and other items, compile data from clearly defined sources and prepare reports.
Special Assignments/Requests
  • Complete all special assignments and requests in a timely manner.
  • Keep appropriate personnel advised of progress.
  • Request additional help and information as required.
