Job description

We are a positive, fast paced auto shop looking for another Level A auto technician. This job will rely on all systems in automotive - such as electrical, brakes, suspension, engine repair, etc. Tasks/responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Correct repair and preventive maintenance/inspection of cars and trucks of all makes and models.
-Knowledge in every system of the automobile required to properly repair vehicle.
-Quickly diagnose automobile problems to locate and repair faults. For example: Check engine lights, intermittent problems, electrical shorts/opens, parasitic draws, etc.
-Ability to use all scanner functions and oscilloscope functions.
-Test driving vehicles before and after repairs to verify customer concern.
-Able to keep inventory stocked.
-Updates job knowledge by enrolling in classes and educational programs.
-Cleanliness of work area and tools.
-Reliability, good communication, good workmanship, honesty, willingness to learn, skills required to perform well in work environment.
-Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
-Knowledge on using Mitchell Prodemand, Identifix and some knowledge on Mitchell Manager SE would be a plus.
Minimum eight years work (hands on) experience. Minimum high school diploma or GED required. Any education or certs for automotive is not required but certainly a plus. Looking for someone who knows what they are doing and can trust with thoroughly checking a vehicle and repair it to a high standard quickly and efficiently. One moment you may have to diagnose a CAN BUS problem, the next moment replace lifters on a Dodge 3.6 pentastar and the next have to pinpoint a parasitic draw. Looking for consistency and proof of a trustworthy technician we can rely on.
Job pay is hourly not flag based. Guaranteed 40 hours Monday through Friday.
Must have own tools. Shop has most specialty tools or means of acquiring.
