Description
The Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences in the College of Engineering of the University of Michigan, an international leader in the field of nuclear engineering and radiological sciences, invites applications for a Lecturer III position. The position will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the field of radiation protection (health physics).
Applications will be reviewed continuously, but those received by December 17, 2023 will be given priority.
The appointment is anticipated to be made in the Fall Semester of 2024.
Applicants should electronically submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a statement of research interests, a statement of teaching philosophy, a statement of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), a list of 3 or 4 qualified individuals who would be willing to provide a letter of reference, and copies of three representative publications through Interfolio.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
The candidate should have a Doctorate degree in health physics, nuclear engineering, radiological sciences, or a related field with a focus on radiation protection (health physics).
The position is subject to final administrative approval.
