As a radar technician, you travel to clients' locations or radar installation sites to handle the repair and maintenance of radar systems. In addition to maintenance responsibilities, you also install, test, and debug radar systems. Your duties also usually include showing radar users how to operate the system or utilize new components. You can work in a variety of settings. Radar technicians typically install and maintain equipment for weather tracking, air traffic control, shipping, maritime traffic, and military uses. You can also work on the ground, penetrating radar systems for the construction of oil and gas industries.
