Be part of our experienced team that provides exceptional support and leadership in our core competencies.   Decision Technologies seeks a qualified AN/SPS-67/SPS-73(V)12/SPS-73(V)18 NGSSR Radar Technician to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia Position Description: The candidate will support the In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for Navigation and Surface Search Radar systems in the areas of technical support, field change installations, performance evaluation, training, technical documentation, maintenance procedures and underway testing, and will provide assistance to fleet units in maintenance and troubleshooting.  The candidate will serve as the ISEA's Subject Matter Expert for the radar as part of direct fleet support responsibility and will document results of maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution actions accomplished while onboard.  They will also provide distance support troubleshooting for fleet CASREPs and requests for technical assistance.    MUST HAVE Secret security clearance Responsibilities and Duties: โ€ข        Support engineering efforts related to design, testing and analysis of Navigation and Surface Search Radar System upgrades or modifications โ€ข        Support technical documentation upgrades or modifications required as a result of system improvements โ€ข        Perform post-installation System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) and On-the-Job Training (OJT) for ship's force โ€ข        Candidate may be expected to travel on short notice to US and overseas locations, must hold and maintain a passport. โ€ข        Practical experience in maintenance, repair, technical documentation, parts procurement, testing and operation of Navy radar systems โ€ข        Practical experience maintaining and troubleshooting the AN/SPS-73(V)18 radar โ€ข        Practical experience with training, preventative maintenance, use of technical documentation, parts support, technical reports and documenting maintenance and troubleshooting activities โ€ข        Experience in underway test and evaluation of Navy radar systems โ€ข        Familiar with shipboard safety procedures including electrical tag-outs, working aloft procedures, hazardous material handling and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) โ€ข        High quality interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills Personal computer skills (competent with MS Office applications).   Required Qualifications and Skills: โ€ข        Practical experience providing administrative support in a team environment โ€ข        Experience developing and maintaining team schedules and providing resource management โ€ข        Experience planning, scheduling and hosting program review and technical interchange meetings โ€ข        Experience documenting team activities and accomplishments โ€ข        Experience documenting and tracking project action items and updating databases โ€ข        Experience managing funding, reporting on financial status and projecting resource requirements โ€ข        Interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills โ€ข        Personal Computer skills (competent with MS Office applications)   Desired Qualifications: โ€ข        Experience working in a Navy technical support and fleet support team โ€ข        Experience reviewing and reporting on combat system casualty reports   Travel Requirements: โ€ข        >25% to include short notice OCONUS Compensation: Compensation at Decision Technologies, Inc. is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience; as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
