About the Role:
Chagrin Valley Racquet Club is looking for a passionate and experienced Aquatics Director to lead and elevate our aquatics program in beautiful Chagrin Falls, OH. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated aquatics professional to take the helm of a dynamic program, inspire a team, and create exceptional experiences for swimmers of all ages and skill levels.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of the aquatics program, including swim lessons, recreational swimming, and competitive swim teams
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise lifeguards, swim instructors, and aquatics staff
  • Ensure pool safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance with all local, state, and health department standards
  • Develop and manage aquatics programming, including group lessons, private instruction, water aerobics, and special events
  • Monitor and maintain pool chemistry, equipment, and facility conditions in coordination with maintenance staff
  • Manage aquatics department budget, including staffing costs, equipment, and supply procurement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for member inquiries, feedback, and aquatics-related communications
  • Maintain current certifications and ensure all staff certifications (CPR, lifeguarding, WSI) are up to date
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in aquatics management or a head lifeguard/aquatics supervisor role
  • Current Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent) required
  • Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or Swim Instructor certification strongly preferred
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Experience with pool operations, water chemistry, and facility maintenance
  • Ability to develop and grow aquatics programming for diverse member demographics
  • Highly organized, safety-focused, and member-service oriented
