About the Role:
To perform daily food preparation and service to include ice cream, grab-and-go items, and pizza preparation. Duties also include the sale of merchandise and cleanliness of the Market area.
Essential Functions:
  • Services and prepares all food and beverages. Restocks merchandise items that are sold in Picnix.
  • Handles checks and utilizes the Micros point-of-sale system.
  • Maintains the appearance of Picnix by cleaning and straightening the Market.
  • Greets all guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.

Supportive Functions:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, at the discretion of the manager based on the particular requirements of the hotel.
  • Performs general cleaning tasks, as assigned by supervisor.
  • Abides by all Federal, State, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.
  • Maintains an open line of communication between guests, management, and line employees.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
  • Ability to effectively deal with and resolve conflict situations with dissatisfied guests.
  • Ability to learn and understand food service operations.
  • Ability to read and speak the English language sufficient to understand menus, special promotions, and communicate with guests.
  • Ability to learn and understand the Micros point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand and work continually in confined spaces.
  • Understand system of weights and measures.
  • Ability to operate kitchen and food service equipment.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of five lbs. and a maximum of thirty lbs.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all charges and understand portion sizes as related to prices.
  • Ability to understand the First In First Out (FIFO) method of product rotation.

Qualifications:
Education:
Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Experience:
Prior food and beverage experience preferred.
Licenses and Certificates:
Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates.
