DEPARTMENT: Racking
JOB TITLE: Racker/Unracker
REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor
SHIFT MID-DAY/HOURS: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Monday to Friday. 40+ hours per week over the course of 5 days, with occasional mandatory Saturday for OT.

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Anodizing Department as Racking / Unracking Operator people who take pride in their work and want to be part of something meaningful. In this role, you are far more than someone who unracks aluminum; you become a trusted and valued member of a team that ensures our aluminum extrusion products are prepared safely, accurately, and with the care needed to meet Bonnell Aluminum's high standards.
THINGS YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
  • Rack or Unrack aluminum extrusion finished parts carefully after the anodizing process, protecting each piece from scratches, dents, and other surface defects.
  • Rack aluminum extrusion parts onto titanium racks with accuracy and care to ensure proper spacing, alignment and secure attachment.
  • Unrack finished parts after the anodizing process, protecting them from scratches, dents, or damage.
  • Inspect parts during both racking and unracking to identify dents, scratches, blisters, die lines, streaks, bow, twist, or imperfections.
  • Recognize different aluminum sizes, shapes, and profiles to place each piece correctly.
  • Use measuring tools when required to verify part lengths and confirm compliance with shop order requirements and Bonnell Aluminum quality standards. Lift and handle aluminum pieces and boxes weighing up to 30 pounds, and assist with heavier items as needed while maintaining a reliable, steady work pace.
