**THIS OPPORTUNITY REQUIRES 90-100% TRAVEL ON A WEEKLY BASIS AND CANDIDATE MUST LIVE WITHIN 50 MILES OF NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION** This is a great opportunity to travel the country and to get good foundational network engineering experience Title:
• Travel Network Technician (90%-100% TRAVEL on a weekly basis) Location:
• CONUS & OCONUS Clearance Required:
• Secret Certification Required:
• Security Required
• CCNA highly preferred Required Experience:
• 3-5 Years of Experience decommissioning + replacing + configuring Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Wireless Access Points (WAPs)
• 1-3 Years of Experience Racking/Stacking servers or working in a datacenter environment
• Good communication + documentation skills are necessary Additional Skills & Qualifications
In addition to standard installer skillsets, candidates should possess the following:
• Cable installation and termination (fiber and copper)
• Rack and stack of network equipment
• Basic troubleshooting and testing of network connections
• Ability to read and follow network diagrams and installation plans
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards and labeling Candidates with networking certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA, Aruba, Versa) will be preferred. Responsibilities:
• Organizes and directs network installations on site surveys. Assesses and documents current site network configuration and user requirements
• Designs and optimizes network topologies
• Directs and leads preparation of engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages
• Develops installation schedules.
• Mobilizes network installation team.
• Directs and leads preparation of drawings documenting configuration changes at each site
• Prepares site installation and test reports. Coordinates post installation operations and maintenance support. • This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to be obtain an (Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret)
