National Network Services (NNS) is seeking skilled, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as Structured Cabling Helpers. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates looking to start a career in the low-voltage or telecommunications industry with hands-on training and long-term growth potential. In this role, you will assist Lead Technicians and installation teams in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems in commercial environments. This role is ideal for individuals eager to learn technical skills and grow within the industry.

General Requirements 

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record 
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening if required 
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

  • Comfortable working in ceilings, crawl spaces, and construction environments

What Youโ€™ll Do 

  • Assist with installation of low-voltage cabling systems, including data, voice, fiber optic, and security cabling 
  • Pull, route, label, and support termination of Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables 
  • Assist in installation of cable pathways such as J-hooks, cable trays, and conduit 
  • Support installation of equipment including racks, patch panels, and network devices 
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites 
  • Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards 
  • Assist with basic testing and troubleshooting of installed systems 
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics (preferred) 

What Youโ€™ll Bring 

Required 

  • High school diploma or GED preferred 
  • 0โ€“2 years of experience in construction, low-voltage, or related field (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply) 
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and willingness to learn 
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team 
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality 
  • Ability to work in active construction environments 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. 
  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting 
  • Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in confined or elevated spaces 
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions 

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) 

  • Experience with structured cabling or low-voltage systems 
  • Familiarity with TIA/EIA standards 
  • OSHA 10 certification
