Construction Foreman – Lead High-End Residential Builds and Custom Home Projects

Job Overview
  • Company: M.R. Brewer, LLC.

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $38 to $45 per hour (Based on experience) plus Performance Bonus.

  • Location: Portland, ME (Travel Required).

  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift.

  • Project Scope: Residential Renovations, Additions, and New Home Construction.

  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License.

The Opportunity

You will serve as a pivotal field leader, transforming high-level project visions into tangible realities for our custom residential clients. This role empowers you to lead a dedicated crew and manage onsite subcontractors while maintaining the elite standards of craftsmanship M.R. Brewer is known for. You will have the autonomy to drive project success for a company that values your expertise and rewards your commitment to quality.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Direct daily operations for complex residential projects, including luxury renovations, additions, and new home builds.

  • Supervise and mentor assigned crew members to ensure all work meets our uncompromising integrity standards.

  • Manage onsite subcontractors and trade partners, serving as the primary company representative to ensure seamless project flow.

  • Set and achieve production goals that align strictly with the Project Manager’s master schedule and timeline.

  • Perform high-level general and finish carpentry tasks, leading by example to set the technical pace for the team.

  • Validate quality control through regular site inspections, ensuring every detail aligns with company methods and client expectations.

  • Communicate effectively with clients and industry partners, providing professional updates and maintaining positive working relationships.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of related carpentry experience with a focus on residential construction.

  • Extensive knowledge of modern building methods, residential codes, and construction scheduling.

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage diverse crews and multiple subcontractors.

  • Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex onsite logistical challenges.

  • Proficiency in reading architectural blueprints and translating them into actionable field tasks.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Advanced experience in high-end finish carpentry and integrated millwork installation.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive client information and project data with absolute discretion.
