We are a small company of about 30 employees and have been in business for over 25 years. We recently began plating composite production parts using our patented plating on plastic "GreenPOP" technology (https://www.alliance-finishing.com/plating-on-plastics).
Job Description
We are looking to hire a Process Development Engineer who will be responsible for the exciting and challenging opportunity to scale up our new plating on plastic production line to support our military and high-end commercial composite plastics customers. This role will focus on process scale-up, optimization and improvement as well as help lead the team in charge of immediately rolling out this production line. This role requires a balanced and in-depth understanding of both the plating production process and chemistry required to achieve a highly stable and predictive process to large volume plastic plated components.
Personality-wise, this role requires someone who is hands-on as much of this job will be spent out in the plant and interfacing with operators and other plant personnel. A successful candidate will be a versatile, independent, and non traditional thinker who is able to adapt to quickly changing priorities. The Process Development Engineer is an important partner and advisor to the business who reports directly to the President of Alliance Finishing & Manufacturing.
