Job description

Updates Registration Errors & Warnings, correct and updates the registration information in EPIC.
Calls patients to gain financial information, create and quote estimates, determine financial status and ability to pay.
Informs the patient and family of all the possible payment options that apply to their account.
Collects on the estimated balances prior to the time of service.
Acts as a resource for scheduling self-pay patients, quoting test prices, quoting special order DME.
Discusses previous open unpaid balances and bad debt with patients, from warm transferred calls prior to scheduling, making payment arrangements or referring them to the agency prior to scheduling testing.
Identifies patients who have large out of pocket amounts and works with them to make arrangements for payment prior to new services being rendered.
EPIC experience is required, high school diploma required and batchelors degree preferred, bilingual is highly desired. Excellent oral and written communication skills and 2 - 5 years previous collection and hospital experience.
