We are looking for a MMOM Quotations Manager to join our Rexel team in Carrollton, TX!
Summary:
The MMOM (Major Market Operating Model) Quotations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the complete quotation process for complex industrial, construction, and OEM customers within the electrical distribution business. This role ensures all bids are prepared accurately, competitively, and on time, while maintaining alignment with customer specifications, internal margin objectives, and operational capabilities. The Quotations Manager acts as the central point of coordination between inside sales, outside sales, procurement, engineering, and vendor partners - ensuring that every quotation submitted is In-Spec, On-Time, and In-Full (ISOTIF) and supports overall business growth and profitability
What You'll Do:
  • Lead and manage the quotation team responsible for industrial and OEM project bids
  • Define priorities, assign workloads, and manage quote turnaround expectations based on customer deadlines and project complexity
  • Develop team capability through coaching, performance reviews, and continuous process training
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex or high-value quotations requiring strategic pricing or technical validation
  • Oversee the end-to-end quotation lifecycle - from RFP receipt to submittal and post-bid follow-up
  • Ensure acknowledgment of all RFPs within customer-required timelines, with clear communication of expected quote delivery dates
  • Review RFP/RFQ documents to verify technical scope, commercial terms, and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate with manufacturers, OEMs, and internal resources to gather pricing, validate availability, and confirm specification alignment
  • Approve all quotation packages prior to submittal, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with bid requirements
  • Ensure all quotes are submitted ISOTIF - In-Spec (technically compliant), On-Time (per deadline), and In-Full (with all required documents and details)
  • Evaluate pricing levels and authorize margin targets to ensure competitiveness and profitability
  • Manage the pricing override approval process and maintain visibility to exceptions
  • Perform ongoing margin analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance to establish pricing strategies that balance customer competitiveness with business objectives
  • Provide reporting and insights on quote win/loss rates, gross margin performance, and conversion trends
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key manufacturers and supplier partners
  • Oversee vendor RFQ processes to ensure accurate pricing and timely responses
  • Work with purchasing and logistics teams to confirm lead times, shipping costs, and potential constraints that could impact proposal accuracy
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery improvements when necessary to support competitive bids
  • Develop, document, and enforce standardized quotation workflows and templates to ensure consistency across all projects
  • Maintain a Quote Log and Bid Calendar to monitor workload, status, and key deadlines
  • Ensure all quotes are properly documented within the company's ERP or CRM system for tracking, audit, and reporting purposes
  • Partner with operations and document control teams to ensure submittals, terms, and deliverables align with executed contracts
  • Continuously review and improve quotation processes for efficiency, speed, and accuracy
  • Support Outside Sales and Key Account Managers by providing accurate, timely quotes and bid clarifications
  • Ensure clear communication with customers regarding quote acknowledgments, scope clarifications, and expected delivery
  • Participate in customer or project kickoff meetings to align expectations and clarify technical/commercial questions
  • Track customer feedback and post-bid results to improve future performance and competitiveness
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What You'll Need
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical distribution, industrial construction sales, or OEM project quoting
  • Proven experience leading a quotations or inside sales team in a project-based environments
  • Experience with electrical distribution, lighting, and controls preferred
  • High School or GED - Required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical products (switchgear, cable, drives, controls, lighting, etc.)
  • Proficiency in ERP and CRM systems (SAP, Epicor, JD Edwards, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills for margin and performance tracking
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
