Job description

Maumee Supply is a rapidly growing plumbing, heating, and industrial PVF supply house, and is looking to add an experienced estimator for commercial plumbing quotations. This is a great opportunity for a detailed oriented and motivated team player to build a career.

The ideal candidate must have the ability to analyze blueprint specifications, material take offs, and product specification requirements to create job estimates and other documents for commercial plumbing jobs.

Knowledge of construction materials and methods used in the commercial industry is a must. The qualified candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of estimating or commercial field experience, strong communication skills, strong attention to detail, and above average computing abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Understand the scope of the commercial project and its material requirements
  • Determine key variables for cost and other estimates
  • Create and submit estimates or bids to appropriate persons (project managers, mechanical contractors, plumbers etc.)
  • Obtain pricing for quotes by working with the purchasing team and vendors for specified materials
  • Assist the outside sales team with scheduling material deliveries based on the progression of the project
