Job description

Job Description:
The Temporary Marketing Operations Specialist plays a key role in supporting the systems, processes, and campaigns that power Berklee's enrollment marketing efforts. Reporting to the Manager of Marketing Campaign Operations, this role provides vital bandwidth to assist cross-campus marketing teams-including Boston, New York City, Valencia, Summer Programs, Berklee Online, and Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
The Specialist is responsible for translating marketing strategies into efficient, timely campaign execution. Leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and related tools, they will build and QA marketing campaigns, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. This role requires technical proficiency, strong project management skills, and the ability to ramp up quickly to drive immediate impact for our enrollment and engagement goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a day-to-day power user of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and other marketing systems.
  • Develop, test, launch, and document campaigns in SFMC (emails, landing pages, automations, audiences, journeys).
  • Partner with marketing stakeholders to translate campaign goals into timely, well-executed journeys, automations, and processes.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication to ensure alignment across teams and prevent bottlenecks.
  • Ensure adherence to existing best practices for segmentation, content management, compliance, and data hygiene, while identifying areas for quick optimization.
  • Identify opportunities for immediate workflow efficiencies and maintain clear documentation for operational procedures.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Minimum three years of marketing experience, including at least one year of hands-on work with email marketing and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud strongly preferred).
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and sound judgment to assess challenges, troubleshoot technical issues, and make data-informed decisions.
  • Strong project management (Asana) and organizational skills with experience working in an Agile environment; able to plan, track, and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining clear communication and accountability.
  • Detail-oriented problem solver with a proactive approach to QA and process execution.
  • Adaptable and flexible self-starter; thrives in a fast-paced environment and ramps up quickly to meet immediate business needs.
  • Background in higher education or other B2C industry preferred.

Hiring Range for this temporary position: $33-$45/hour; salary dependent on relevant experience and education.
