What You will Do:
Primary: Ensure our team's collective on-site services for our Aerospace and Defense Industry customer (Enfield, CT) are achieved with utmost timeliness and quality.
Our work includes
a) In-bound Quality Documentation/Record reviews with dimensional/visual inspections
b) Creation of First Article Inspection Report packages (AS-9102 Rev C based FAIRs), and Out-bound order verification and release (DPRV/DQR status required).
In this hands-on role, you will ensure our team's daily work is available and conducted to our customer's priority/changes, at expected daily completion targets, and per established quality standards daily.
You will track and convey progress and all quality concerns daily.
You will be the first Point of Contact (PoC) for both our team and our customer.
You must be able to accurately and professionally convey your insights as well as inquiries back to your off-site leaders - following through to close-the-loop. The service our team provides span 6 days/wk and 6am-6pm, thus some flexibility in interacting with all team members in reasonable timeframes is part of role.
Secondary: Assist others in roles and activities we perform (incoming inspection and quality documentation reviews, FAIR package creation/submittal, and release of orders) - often in a "fill the temporary gap" manner.
  • Interact w/ multiple computer systems / software
  • Collaboratively engage daily with your Project / Team leader, Peers, and Customer.
  • Alternatively: Conduct similar Quality Engineering work (to above) in other aspects of part qualification management, and/or areas of non-conformance management, Quality Management System involvement, or Continuous Improvement/Development oversight. These may include working with different customers at different Connecticut based locations than described above.
  • Help Quest Global grow while you learn and develop your career
  • They manage, train, maintain team morale, resolving conflicts, and ensuring staff adherence to policies are core duties.
  • The Site Lead enforces site-specific safety protocols, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards such as OSHA, ISO, and other relevant certifications.
  • They liaise with customer leadership to communicate progress, address concerns, and implement project requirements. This reporting on site performance.
  • The role may include managing site budgets, financial/operational performance, as well as contributing to strategic planning and process improvements.
  • Daily, weekly, monthly report based on forecast/actuals on teams performance
  • Developing relationships w/ customers
  • Effective flow down of information to team
  • Recruiting, On-boarding, Training / Guiding others
  • Leading/sponsoring creative and engaging team growth events
  • Developing people; including career development plans, setting yearly objectives, giving/reviewing assessments; managing performance improvements; corrective actions
  • Support Quest Global managers by providing data, summaries, updates, audits
  • Timecard sign offs / high yield (resource planning), employee benefits Q&A
  • Resolving conflict, finding system/process root causes / generating Corrective action

What You Will Bring:
  • BS Technical Degree - preferred
  • Minimum 9+ years relevant experience to role
  • Alternate: 12+ years relevant experience to role with AS / no / non-tech degree
  • Other Technical Certifications (DQR, CQE, Audit, Lean/Six Sigma, etc.) - noteworthy
  • Experience leading and documenting customer service/deliverable oriented formal projects from pre-quote to closure
  • Experience leading teams (up to 15) charged to perform customer-oriented services

Required Skills (Technical Competency) / Attributes:
  • Problem solving - including use of statistical based tools, analysis, and reporting.
  • Leading / Training / Reviewing the work of others.
  • Workflow management (preferably in A&D industry).
  • Oversight of technical teams and work.
  • Reading and applying Blueprints / GD&T / Other Quality Requirements to task.
  • Able to verify inspection data as being accurate and complete to requirements.
  • Able to aid in inspection planning, gage selection, set-up, and/or part inspection.
  • Reviewing, comprehending, and compiling technical data.
  • Creation of AS9102- Rev C First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) packages.
  • Creating/Reviewing PPAP and/or MRL packages (Noteworthy, but not required).
  • Leading formal Root Cause / Corrective Action team projects.
  • Conducting internal process/quality audits.
  • Operating in procedure based and regulatory controlled environments.
  • Prior roles w/ monitoring, tracking, resolving/escalating, and reporting on results.
  • Interact w/ MRP/ERP systems.
  • Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook - advanced user.
  • Ability to obtain and retain Quest Global Project Management Certification following company provided training.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $100,000 USD.
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure.
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Enfield, CT.
  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Shop floor/Distribution site environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking/standing, and ability to lift 40 lbs. at times.
  • Use of PPE (safety shoes) where required
