Overview
Join our team as a Dishwasher at Hen Quarter, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our kitchen. As a dedicated member of the back-of-house team, you'll ensure that dishes, utensils, and equipment are clean and ready for service, contributing to the seamless operation of our Southern culinary experience. If you take pride in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment and are committed to supporting the culinary team, consider joining us as a Dishwasher.
Responsibilities
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using appropriate methods and tools.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Support the kitchen staff by ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils during peak service times.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen.

Qualifications
Physical Requirements:
  • Dishwashing experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
  • Able to read documents and written instructions to understand sanitation requirements, safety rules, equipment operation and maintenance, policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation is a plus.
  • Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends, and all holidays.
  • Stand for long hours, often in wet conditions.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs (racks of dishes, garbage bags).
  • Work in a hot, humid, and fast-paced environment.
  • Bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment safely.
