Job description

Responsibilities
Allan Myers is looking for an experienced, diligent, and organized Project Scheduler with a passion for ensuring success on every project. You will be responsible for supporting our operation team in the implementation, management, and control of the overall cost and scheduling process from project conception to project completion. You will play a critical role in protecting the project profit through accurate monitoring, reporting, and forecasting of project data for effective risk mitigation.
Conducts all work in accordance with Allan Myers policies, procedures, and programs.
This role is on-site and requires working from the regional office.
Responsibilities:
Schedule:
  • Coordinates with the Project Manager to support the project control processes including work instructions for use by the project staff.
  • Supports the Project Manager in tracking revenue and crew loaded baseline CPM schedule in Primavera, per the contract requirements and Allan Myers Best Practices.
  • Prepares monthly schedule updates, narratives, and reports through collaboration with the project team on actual dates and durations. Identifies critical areas of concern and shares with the project team.
  • Coordinates weekly operational planning to ensure alignment of the short-term look-ahead schedule with long-term CPM schedule.

Financial:
  • Reviews project cost reports for accuracy weekly, including general condition costs, quantity claiming, recharge and transaction reports, and crew cost reports. Makes adjustments as needed to ensure costs are being tracked correctly. Maintains onsite equipment list and confirms accuracy of claiming and usage each week.
  • Reports on current gains/losses to the project team. Assists in identifying areas of concern.
  • Manages billing and AP functions such as reviewing monthly quantities and preparing monthly pay application for submission to the client; reviewing and approving subcontractor and supplier invoices; assigning breakdown and cost codes to new subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Documents the project controls including submittal logs, RFIs, communications, and meeting minutes.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000, based on experience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, and/or Business
  • Construction experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Experience with construction applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel a must; working knowledge of SharePoint is preferred
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented, punctual, and work well within a team
