About the Position

The company is seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer to support customers throughout the aggregate and mining industry. This role combines technical expertise, consultative selling, and field-based customer support.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in quarry, mining, and processing environments while serving as a trusted technical resource for customers. This is a regional territory-based role requiring approximately 50% travel, including overnight travel several nights per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to quarry, mine, and plant management teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through regular site visits and operational reviews.
  • Support applications involving:
    • Crushing systems
    • Screening systems
    • Washing systems
    • Wear parts and wear materials
    • Material handling equipment
    • Process optimization initiatives
  • Evaluate customer operations and recommend solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with internal application engineers, OEM partners, and technical resources to develop customer solutions.
  • Balance sales growth objectives with long-term customer success and operational performance.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and professionalism in industrial environments.
  • Manage territory opportunities, customer development plans, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with equipment operators, maintenance personnel, plant managers, and ownership teams.

Travel Expectations

  • Approximately 50% travel throughout the assigned territory.
  • Typical schedule includes 2-3 overnight stays per week.
  • Early morning customer visits and flexible scheduling based on operational needs.
  • Frequent work in outdoor, industrial, and safety-sensitive environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical industry experience.
  • Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related technical background preferred.
  • 3-10 years of experience within:

  • Strong understanding of:
