Job description

We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our team! You will resolve customer questions and offer solutions to drive company revenue.

General Summary: Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account acquisition by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services utilizing multi-faceted approach. Writes contracts and change orders. Personally contacts and secures new accounts/customers.

CORE FUNCTIONS:​​​​​​

  • Establishes and secures contracts/purchase orders from existing and prospective customers through a service-oriented, relationship based approach.
  • Facilitates completion of contracted work through a project management approach.

DETAILS OF FUNCTION:

  • Makes in-home visits to aid clients in design aspects and to acquire take-offs for quoting/bidding purposes.
  • Reads cabinet specifications, architectural drawings and/or client drawings for quoting/bidding purposes.
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations/estimates for current and prospective clients.
  • Calculates and ensures proper material allocation for quoting/bidding/contracting process.
  • Develops clear and effective written contracts and change orders for current and prospective clients.
  • Facilitates and tracks key scheduled dates for purpose of managing project and keeping clients informed.
  • Aids Sales & Service manager in expediting the resolution of customer concerns and issues.
  • Makes follow-up visits/phone calls to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Collects deposits, change orders and final balances in a timely manner.
  • Adheres to responsibility of securing shop/offices at end of work day
  • Supplies management with oral and/or written reports on customer needs, issues, interests, competitive activities and potential new accounts.
  • Keeps abreast of technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends.

REPORTING:

  • Reports directly to Sales Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess knowledge of construction industry. Must posses experience in the retail sector. Demonstrate aptitude for problem solving; ability to determine solutions for clients (consultative sales approach). Demonstrate initiative and confidence in securing/increasing sales. Must be results-oriented and be able to work both independently and with team environment. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Must have driver’s license and auto insurance.
