3Red Partners LLC, a proprietary trading firm headquartered in Chicago, is seeking a Quantitative Developer to join the team. 3Red Partners is committed to leveraging technology and math to implement competitive trading strategies. Our team has extensive, global experience in a wide variety of asset classes, risk management, and leading trading technologies. We focus our efforts on hiring extremely talented and motivated individuals to collaborate with each other and compete in the world's financial markets.

The Quantitative Developer will have the opportunity to work in one of our offices on strategy development and code optimization. We are seeking a candidate that is searching for an opportunity to make a real impact, deliver value, and work within an experienced team.

Your impact:

  • Partner with the team to build, optimize, and evolve the firms' current research pipeline and strategy development
  • Identify potential areas for optimization and performance enhancements through research; including, but not limited to suggestions for the ongoing maintenance and improvement of code quality
  • Build components and new infrastructure to maintain new trading strategies and exhausting the testing and debugging skills as part of the development process
  • Work directly with traders and developer to provide realistic project timelines and estimates and ensure team accountability
  • Stay current on industry developments and trends to maintain ongoing business awareness and a competitive edge

Your skills:

  • A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree with an emphasis in a STEM related field (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, etc.) with more than 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience coding in C++ and Python
  • Strong organizational and software architecture skills with a proven understanding of optimizing and profiling strategies
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects at one time
