Job description

Quanex is looking for a Flat Rigger to join our team located in Allentown, PA.

In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with team members to cut and assemble window screen frames to changing specifications, using a computer-driven measuring device.

Hours of Operation: 6 am to 2:30pm Monday thru Friday

What Success Looks Like:

  • Monitor products constantly to ensure quality standards.
  • Maintains the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S standards.
  • Follows safety procedures and guidelines; and notifies others of existing or potential safety issues.
  • Assist in other work areas when workload permits or requires.
  • Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
  • Thoroughly complete all documentation, such as production reports.
  • Assemble various components based on customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Thoroughly inspect products for defects or errors.
  • Verify size, color, and configuration of production utilizing labeling systems.

Your Credentials:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 6 months of production, assembly or related work experience preferred.
  • Ability to use hand tools including tape measure, air drill, and pneumatics saws.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal communication.

The hourly wage for this position is $18.50, with bonus potential.
