Job description

Quanex is looking for Extruder Operators to join our Production team located in Kent, Washington.

An Extruder Operator is responsible for working as part of a team, as well as independently to run and maintain assigned extruder machines to produce quality window and door parts, to customer specifications, with minimal waste.

      • Assists with set up of equipment and completes changeovers timely
      • Produce and use Material Identification labels/computer
      • Identify quality product prior to packaging
      • Attends work on time and for scheduled hours each day
      • Maintains good housekeeping practices, in compliance with 5S Standards
      • Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers
      • Follows established procedures and guidelines, including standard work and safety policies

      What You Bring:

      • One or more years of experience, manufacturing experience strongly preferred
      • High School diploma or GED preferred
      • Shift flexibility, including overtime and weekends
      • Ability to read and understand packaging layouts
      • Ability to operate hand tools and other equipment as required

      Expected Starting Salary: $22.00/hour
