Job description

Quality Supervisor Our client in Angier is hiring a Quality Supervisor to manage the quality program for a firefighting foam business. Responsibility includes: - Direct line management of Quality Assurance Technician. - Manage the Quality Assurance program for the firefighting foam business. The position will be responsible for Quality Assurance in the entire supply chain, which includes raw material vendors, the manufacturing plant, distribution center, and customer sites. - Manage National Foam"s Technical Services program where customers send foam concentrates for analysis and evaluation. Work with Marketing and Product Management to implement improvements and business growth strategies. - Lead customer quality investigations where customer"s report failures, product issues, warranty claims, etc. The Quality Manager will own the RMA process . - Maintain Third Party listings, manage follow up procedures, standards and audits for organizations such as UL, FM, US Coast Guard, NAVSEA, DCMA, etc. - Responsible for all record keeping including production batch records, quality-testing records, retained manufacturing samples, etc. - Manage the site"s newly implemented Raw Material Quality Program and identify areas of improvement. - Lead the site"s ISO 9001 compliance and audits to maintain certification. - Perform transactions in the ERP system to manage Quality Hold/Release, maintain lot number integrity, assist with inventory management, etc. - Review, recommend and implement opportunities for Quality improvement throughout the entire operation: order receipt to shipment. - Perform lab testing as a backup for the Quality Technician. - The Quality Manager will assist in the management of the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) programs at the plant. Requirements: - 5+ years of experience in a Quality role in manufacturing - Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a relevant field - General knowledge of wet chemical analysis - Knowledge of manufacturing processes, instrumentation, and measuring techniques - ISO 9000 knowledge Preferences: - Knowledge of advanced lab analysis such as FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy), LCMSMS (Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry), PFAS TOPA (Total Oxidizable Precursor Assay) - Knowledge of chemical blending using tanks, mixers, pumps to blend water-based products including surfactants, solvents, polymers - Experience working with US government agencies and standards - Experience providing technical services to customers By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, Al-generated calls, text messages, or emails from Synerfac Technical Staffing and our contracted partners.
