Job description


Role: Quality - Contractor
Location: Norfolk, VA, 23507
Duration: 12 Months (Possible extension)
Pay Rate: $35.00-$41.00/hr. W2
Seeking an experienced NDT Level II Inspector in Visual Testing (VT)
Essential Functions:
  • Perform Visual Testing (VT) weld inspections.
  • Perform welding inspections per NAVSEA and AWS standards.
  • Oversee NDT resources across multiple facilities, providing support to sub-contract vendors, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Perform inspections of work areas and other quality assessments.
  • Review and finalize records at the conclusion of each work package for storage.
  • Familiar with Tech Pub 248

Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience in Visual Testing (VT) of welds, preferably with NAVSEA experience
  • Proficient use of weld inspection tools, including weld gauges, NDT equipment, and micrometers
  • Capable of interpreting technical data, blueprints, and specifications
  • Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system a plus
  • Must be a US Citizen.
