Job description

Lead an established Quality Engineering and Inspection team to improve product and process quality through continuous improvements in coordination with other departments. You will ensure product and process compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001/AS 9100), customer requirements, government regulations, and product specifications.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the Management Representative for the ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System
  • Lead the maintenance and development of policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to proposal developments for new opportunities to ensure customer requirements are understood and achievable.
  • Provide direct support to various teams such as Sales, Marketing, Engineering, etc. from a Quality and Inspection standpoint.
  • Lead the supplier qualification and performance monitoring process to ensure supplier conformance to quality standards.
  • Work cross departmentally to drive the design and development of products & services, ensuring conformity of outputs to established guidelines.
  • Travel (limited - 10%) may be required, to customers, suppliers, and other company locations worldwide.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Organizational skills sufficient to meet deadlines.
  • Able to successfully collaborate across departments – as evidenced by positive feedback received from stakeholders.
  • Capacity to compose organized, professional communications and materials for supervisory review or presentation.
  • Experience with: ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, US FAA, DoD, or other governmental regulatory agencies preferred.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Eight (8) or more years of durable goods manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency Electronics desired.
  • Familiarity with Ground-Based Navigation and Landing Systems helpful.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to pass a U.S. government background check investigation.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  • Ability to lift, operate and instruct others in the use of computing resources.
  • Finger dexterity for typing and other computer related tasks.
  • Vision sufficiently correctable for reading.
  • Speech and Hearing sufficiently correctable for phone work, customer interface, etc.
