Job description

Annual salary range: $126,380.80 min. - $183,248.00 max
This position provides operational leadership and daily management of the Quality Department, The Quality Manager is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Quality Department, performance improvement efforts for publicly reported clinical measures, assisting with regulatory agency investigations and survey activities, and data analysis related activities. Investigate and respond to insurance quality referrals and participate in regulatory agency deficiencies and validate plans of correction are reported to the required Councils. Ensures effective execution of quality improvement initiatives, core measure performance, and data integrity. This role translates quality priorities and data analysis requirements into actionable work plans, supports frontline Quality staff, and ensures timely, accurate reporting and follow-through. The manager assists with implementing strategies for best practices, providing educational opportunities in collaboration with the education department and performance improvement support to clinical providers and staff.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field, preferred
  2. Minimum of three (3) years of experience working as a manager in the areas of quality and/or performance improvement highly desirable
  3. Strong organizational and communication skills desired
  4. Extensive experience in facilitating and leading teams and conducting Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) desired
  5. Strong knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission, and California regulatory requirements
  6. Working knowledge of core measure abstraction, data validation, and quality reporting systems
  7. Team STEPPS Master Trainer preferred
  8. LEAN Six Sigma training and recent experience preferred

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
  1. Current California license as a registered nurse required
  2. CPHQ preferred
  3. CPPS preferred
  4. MAB is required to be completed on the first day of work. (Grandfathered: existing employees must complete new requirements by 6/9/2025.)
