The Role:
Entegris' Reno manufacturing site is seeking a Quality Manager to join our team. The Quality Manager is responsible for leading site quality systems, customer quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement activities to ensure consistent product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role drives a strong quality culture, ensures effective execution of quality processes, and partners cross-functionally to support business goals, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do:
Quality Leadership, Compliance, Process Control
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve site quality systems, standards, and governance.

  • Ensure quality policies, procedures, and standard methodologies are clearly defined, followed, and sustained.

  • Drive a culture of quality, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure quality-related training requirements are defined, completed, and maintained to support compliance and performance.

  • Define, maintain, and improve quality control processes that ensure product conformance and process stability.

  • Reduce product and process variation by identifying key contributors and implementing effective control systems.

  • Ensure integrity, accuracy, and traceability of quality and product data within quality systems.

  • Lead site quality activities including MRB/DRB participation, SPC review, audit support, and supplier quality oversight.

  • Maintain audit readiness and support internal, customer, ISO, regulatory, and business audits.

  • Ensure audit findings, non-conformances, and observations are addressed through timely and effective corrective actions.

Business and Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with EH&S, Production, Supply Chain, R&D, Customer Quality, and external suppliers to resolve quality issues and mitigate risk.

  • Build customer confidence through consistent execution, transparency, and quality performance.

  • Prioritize quality initiatives based on customer impact, compliance risk, and business need.

  • Maintain awareness of plant operations and drive actions necessary to sustain site quality and integrity.

  • Support quality-related cost initiatives including Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction.

  • Partner with Product Engineering and cross-functional teams to define and align on new product quality requirements.

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) through quality planning, validation, and transfer readiness activities.

  • Coordinating product root cause investigations using statistical analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.

  • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are effective, sustainable, and verified.

  • Communicate investigation outcomes and lessons learned to internal stakeholders and external customers as appropriate.

  • Support Product Management and Applications by translating customer and application requirements into quality expectations, while leading FMEA and risk assessments to identify, prioritize, and mitigate product and process risks.

What We Seek:
  • BS in Mechanical, Polymer, Chemical or Material or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years in manufacturing and leading Quality Teams within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a high technology product line.

  • Ability to communicate effectively at various levels of the organization including customer communications.

  • Strategic thinker with a vision that can outline multiple year quality progression path.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
  • Proven experience in semiconductor/polymer processing industry preferred, or combination of 3+ years of relevant education and related manufacturing or quality experience.

  • Proven experience with external working relationships and communications, supplier, or customer, preferred.

  • Lean/Green Belt certification is a plus.

  • Proficient with Lean Manufacturing tools including Value Stream mapping, Identification of the 8 forms of waste, Proficient with 5S+1 and able to guide these techniques. Solid understanding of Design of Experiment.

  • Strong knowledge, competence, and background in statistics, SPC/SQC, process control, 8D methodology, Six Sigma tools for variability reduction and process improvement.

  • Ability to develop and execute qualification requirements and plans.
