Job description

MTH Pumps of Plano, IL is seeking a full‑time Quality Manager to work as part of a team meeting increased customer demands for our manufactured pumps. This position offers a competitive salary of $120,000 to $150,000 per year (dependent on experience), a $1 increase after 90 days, tuition reimbursement, and medical and dental insurance. MTH Pumps operates Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm, so evenings are free.

ABOUT MTH PUMPS

MTH Pumps is a commercial and industrial fluid pump manufacturer serving a wide variety of markets and industries including boiler feed, condensate return, chillers/temperature controllers, water services, refrigeration, petroleum, and many chemical process applications. We lead the pumping industry in regenerative turbine and OEM pump design by manufacturing products with superior performance, high reliability, and low cost. With over 50 years of success, we offer continued training and education and focus on creating a work environment that is engaging and rewarding for every employee.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN QUALITY MANAGER

The Quality Manager will work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Sales to support operational excellence and drive a culture of quality. Responsibilities include ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement initiatives, and customer satisfaction throughout all stages of manufacturing.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in pump manufacturing, machining, industrial equipment, or metal manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards and auditing processes.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, continuous improvement methods, and Lean Manufacturing (a plus).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience managing a team of 5 or more employees.
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • CNC machining and assembly process knowledge.
  • Experience with supplier quality management.
  • Strong experience with precision measurement equipment and familiarity with GD&T.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Manufacturing and office environment.
  • Frequent interaction with production personnel and suppliers.
  • May require occasional lifting, walking through production areas, and use of PPE.
