Job Description

Location: 6 Northway Lane, Latham, NY 12110-4809

Job Title: Quality Leader

Duration: 6 Months (Could go beyond)

Work Hours: Monday through Friday 7am - 4pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)

Daily Duties

  • All aspects of Manufacturing Quality including but not limited to Machining Process Capability, Infancy failures, Root Cause and Corrective Action, Change Management, Control of Nonconforming material, and Process Documentation for plant move.
  • Will provide direct supervision to quality technicians, champion defect reduction projects, ensure work scopes are up to date with existing requirements, and prepare/participate in the TOW (transfer of work) to the India facility.
Qualifications

Educational:

  • 2 year degree, 4 year preferred....quality, engineering (technical degree)
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing industry in a quality function
  • Software knowledge of MS Office suite is preferred, Minitab or other statistical software is also preferred.
  • Have good attention to detail on manufacturing quality data analysis, good root cause and corrective action skills, and six sigma problem solving skills

Desired skills:

  • Person that is a self-starter that can lead teams and initiatives without direct supervision and previous leadership responsibilities
