Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector for a direct hire opportunity in Batavia, NY. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for a quality professional with strong inspection, metrology, PPAP, and CMM experience who wants to contribute to a quality-driven manufacturing environment.
The Quality Inspector will help ensure components and assemblies meet engineering, customer, and industry requirements through incoming inspections, in-process inspections, first-piece inspections, dimensional layouts, gage control, and CMM operation. This is a strong opportunity for someone who takes pride in precision, documentation, continuous improvement, and supporting a zero-defect culture.
This role offers a steady first shift schedule, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to work closely with Quality, Production, Maintenance, and related departments. Candidates can expect a professional workplace focused on teamwork, process improvement, product quality, and compliance with established quality and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and first-piece inspections to verify product dimensions, materials, print specifications, and conformance requirements.
- Prepare inspection reports, maintain accurate quality records, and support customer and supplier PPAP dimensional layouts.
- Use precision inspection tools and metrology equipment including micrometers, plug gages, thread gages, microscopes, optical comparators, and CMM equipment.
- Support gage maintenance, calibration, control, MSA activities, process capability studies, and revision-controlled inspection plans.
- Investigate defective parts, assist with containment activities, coordinate sorting efforts, and support root cause identification.
- Participate in dock audits, process audits, GP-12, Safe Launch activities, and compliance efforts related to IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.

- Pay Range: $40,000 to $59,000 annually, based on experience.
