Under Quality Supervisor leadership, the Fabrication Quality Control Inspector supports production by ensuring parts are made according to quality standards.

QC inspectors are responsible for inspecting, measuring, and documenting products to meet customer requirements. Inspectors use provided drawings and sales orders to approve or reject product while in process and when completed.

Inspectors are responsible for following Quality system procedures when nonconformances are found.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Important areas of experience: measurement, welding, threading, steel fabrication, inspection.
  • Basic ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Strong math ability including adding and subtract fractions and decimals, as well as understanding +/- tolerances.
  • Ability to document and communicate approval and rejection of product.
  • Ability to organize and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a quality inspector required.
  • Preferred bilingual English/Spanish.

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
  • The ability to respond quickly to sounds
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
  • The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
  • The ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments in a variety of climate conditions.
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
