Position Summary:

ofi values in-person collaboration with colleagues – this is a fully onsite position where employees are expected to work their specific work schedule onsite.  

Responsible for verifying the quality and safety of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods. This role includes reviewing documentation such as Certificates of Analysis (COAs), conducting in-production checks, and performing pre-operational inspections to ensure facility sanitation and equipment readiness.

What You’ll Do - Position Responsibilities:  

  • Inbound & Outbound Inspection: Inspect all incoming and outgoing loads for defects, damage, and compliance with specifications.
  • COA Review: Verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and other shipping documents for accuracy and conformance.
  • Corrective Actions: Report quality issues and non-conformances immediately; recommend and document corrective actions before products are released for shipping.
  • In-Production Monitoring: Review batch documentation and production logs in real-time to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Sampling & Testing: Help collect representative samples for laboratory analysis, sensory evaluation, and microbiological testing.
  • Equipment Calibration: Perform daily calibrations on essential equipment such as scales, thermometers, ATP machines, etc.
  • Other job duties as assigned

 

Experience You’ll Bring – Role Requirements:

 

  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills for reporting defects, and the ability to work in fast-paced or temperature-controlled environments.
  • GMP and Food Safety Proficiency required
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing or quality control (e.g., knowledge of HACCP, SQF, or FDA/USDA regulations) is highly valued.
  • SAP experience highly preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Must be a self-starter, able to complete work accurately with minimal supervision
  • Ability to achieve multiple objectives in an environment of changing priorities, high pressure and fast pace
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for data entry and report generation.
  • Ensure Food Safety, Legality and Quality of all products
