QUALITY ENGINEER
Reports to: Quality Director
Location: Dalton, GA
Classification: Salary ( Exempt )
SUMMARY The Quality Engineer plays a role in developing strategies by assisting Quality Engineer II and Senior Quality Engineer for incoming inspections, product line patrol, outgoing quality control, and updating factory internal quality rules all in accordance with the high industry standards and within manufacturing timescales.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the final goods' quality in the warehouse.
  • Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage process changes according to the company policy.
  • Plan, conduct, and monitor tests and inspections on materials and products to ensure the quality of finished products.
  • Regularly monitor and review data based on yield and each process quality.
  • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
  • Provide trainings and support to Quality Engineering Team.
  • Accurately record data and production information.
  • Adhere to the Health & Safety procedures.
  • Manage raw materials' quality to ensure consistency and integrity.
  • Support for machine calibration.
  • Maintain, test, and troubleshoot quality instrumentation devices .
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS.
  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in related fields .
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different tasks.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety.
  • Eye for detail and quality.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively within the team.
  • Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate controlled.
  • Assertive, able to cope with pressure, self-motivated and driven team player.
  • Proactive approach toward various issues.
  • Fluent in both Korean and English.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday
  • Able to lift to 50 pounds without restriction
  • Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set by Q Cells
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in either assembly and/or manufacturing environment.
  • High level of work ethic toward improving organizational culture.
