Manufacturing Quality Engineer | GA
Location: Marietta, GA
Position Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $80,000 to $100,000

Our client, a well established and growing manufacturer in Marietta, GA, is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join their team. This is a highly visible, hands on position supporting daily manufacturing operations, product quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the manufacturing floor, working directly with production, engineering, and operations to solve problems and improve processes. This is not a desk focused quality position.

  • Lead Root Cause Analysis and CAPA activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects and improve process capability.
  • Perform internal quality audits and support customer and regulatory audits.
  • Analyze quality metrics and identify trends for process improvement.
  • Partner with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Leadership to ensure quality objectives are achieved.

  • 3+ years of Manufacturing Quality Engineering experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong production floor involvement.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience with quality management systems and manufacturing quality standards.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or similar certification.
  • Experience in an ISO compliant manufacturing environment.
  • Lean and Six Sigma experience.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in a small to mid size manufacturing environment.
  • Hands on Manufacturing Quality Engineer with a strong production floor presence.
  • Comfortable working cross functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Production.
  • Self motivated, collaborative, and focused on continuous improvement.
Please Note: Candidates whose background is primarily with large automotive OEM or Tier 1 manufacturers are not the target profile for this opportunity. The hiring manager is specifically seeking someone with experience in a small to mid size manufacturing environment who is accustomed to wearing multiple hats and being actively (hands-on) involved on the production floor.
