Are you a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Do you enjoy dialing in a process, eliminating defects, and keeping production running at peak performance? If so, we want you on our team.

We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to support our plastic injection molding operations. In this role, you'll play a critical part in maximizing uptime, reducing scrap, improving quality, and driving continuous improvement across our production floor.

What You'll Do

You'll be the technical expert on the floor - ensuring our molding processes are stable, efficient, and producing high-quality parts.

  • Champion a safety-first mindset in everything you do.
  • Perform mold changes, including full mold setting and proper connections.
  • Start up, optimize, and troubleshoot injection molding machines.
  • Dial in and document process parameters for repeatable performance.
  • Make adjustments to eliminate defects such as flash, shorts, sinks, burns, and dimensional variation.
  • Partner with Quality and Production to quickly resolve part and process concerns.
  • Drive scrap reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor cycle times and equipment performance to reduce downtime.
  • Identify maintenance concerns and collaborate with maintenance to resolve issues.
  • Support new mold trials, process development, and validations.
  • Help train and mentor operators on process-related best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace aligned with 5S standards.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 3-5 years of injection molding experience (preferred).
  • Hands-on mold setting experience (required).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid understanding of molding parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, cooling, clamp force).
  • Knowledge of scientific molding principles (a plus).
  • 3-axis programming experience (preferred).
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with various resin materials and their processing characteristics.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

  Physical Requirements

  • Frequently standing and using hands to handle tools and components.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

PPE Required: Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes (uniforms provided).
