Job description

Quality Technician:

Interested in getting in at the ground floor of a new, disruptive company attacking an important multi-billion-dollar problem? Businesses and consumers continue to demand increasing data services at an exponential rate -- streaming, deep learning, analytics, loT connectivity, and more. What this means is higher performing CPUs, components, servers, and ultimately Data and Edge computing centers, all generating excessive heat that is increasingly difficult to manage with traditional cooling systems. Accelsius is developing revolutionary direct-to-chip, 2-Phase cooling technologies that empower and enable Server OEMs, Data Centers, Edge Computing Operators.

Accelsius is looking for a Quality Technician to conduct incoming inspection of all the material received by Accelsius for building the NeuCool products. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Quality. The right candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, follow guidance, deliver commitments, teamwork, tolerance to ambiguity and flexibility to perform different tasks as the priorities change. Strong written and verbal communication skills are expected.

The position is based in Austin, Texas, onsite only, need to be able to work in both Kramer and Springdale sites as needed.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming materials according to established procedures; determine pass/fail status and initiate next steps per the incoming inspection process.
  • Accurately update and maintain records for all incoming inspections, QC holds, and MRB (Material Review Board) activities within the ERP system; ensure accountability for all quality-related transactions.
  • Perform in-line quality inspections of manufactured products and incoming inspections of products received from Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
  • Support the Quality Engineer in preparation for NCMR (Non-Conforming Material Report) reviews and document review outcomes.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Director of Quality.


Qualifications and attributes for this role include:

  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or quality functions
  • Associate degree (2-year) in Engineering, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings for parts and components
  • 2–3 years of experience in Quality Inspection, or demonstrated equivalent skills through relevant coursework or technical training
  • Experience in using calipers, gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
  • Strong passion for quality with exceptional attention to detail with technical competence, teamwork, accountability, communication skills, sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks on time, deliver results, and take ownership and accountability for assigned responsibilities
  • Collaborative team player who is willing to step outside their comfort zone and support team members as needed
  • Experience working in a startup environment is a plus
