Quality Director
Kalon Executive Search is partnering with an established and growing dietary supplement manufacturer to identify an experienced Quality Director to lead its quality organization. This is a key leadership opportunity for a quality professional with a strong background in dietary supplements, cGMP, and FDA-regulated manufacturing.
The Quality Director will oversee all QA/QC activities and ensure that manufacturing operations consistently meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, while maintaining the highest standards of product safety, effectiveness, and quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System that aligns with cGMP, FDA regulations, and other applicable standards.
  • Evaluate the performance of the QMS and introduce improvements or updates as necessary.
  • Coordinate and support regulatory and third-party audits.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and oversight organizations.
  • Manage and develop the Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams.
  • Encourage a culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with other departments to advance company-wide quality initiatives.
  • Oversee the creation, implementation, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify opportunities for quality and process improvements and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Assess, qualify, and monitor suppliers and vendors to ensure adherence to established quality standards.
  • Develop and manage supplier quality agreements.
  • Supervise testing programs for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to confirm compliance with quality specifications.
  • Review quality documentation and authorize product batch release once all requirements are met.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in quality assurance within dietary supplement or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of cGMP requirements, FDA regulations, and industry quality standards.

Compensation: $145,000 - $165,000 plus benefits
