REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Product Quality Tester in Winston - Salem, North Carolina

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Effectively follow detailed work instructions to ensure accurate quality sampling and testing processes.
  • Communicate and work collaboratively with both quality and manufacturing personnel.
  • Notify management of testing results near or outside specified ranges.
  • Accurately operate quality testing equipment including Brabender, pH meter, refractometer, Wiley Mill, Ro-Tap, V-blender, as applicable for the manufacturing area supported.
  • Precisely obtain, prepare, weigh, test, and record samples in accordance with specifications.
  • Accurately record information regarding Quality Alerts and Quality Incidents.
  • Perform and record results accurately of tests that have been completed (pH, moisture level, etc.).
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and calibrations (daily verification checks) of quality equipment.
  • Report all non-conformances from normal practices and procedures by means of Quality Control reports

What are we looking for?

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with MES, Ignition, VIDES, and Pilgrim Software programs
  • Proficient with data transfer (electric and paper) and record keeping
  • Attention to detail, proactivity, and effective follow-through
  • Mathematical skills to monitor and validate testing results
  • WorkKeys: Reading for Information or Workplace Documents @ Level 3; Applied Math @ Level 3; Graphic Literacy @ Level 3; Workplace Observation @ Level 2
  • Prefer experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Prefer experience with inspection and sampling procedures, as well as quality testing
