Job Title: Mortgage Due Diligence Quality Control Specialist (Remote)

Opus CMC is hiring seasoned Mortgage Due Diligence Quality Control Specialists to join our remote team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring loan quality and compliance across origination and regulatory review functions. The ideal candidate brings a strong due diligence background, sharp analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Perform thorough quality control reviews on mortgage loan files underwritten by our Due Diligence Underwriters
  • Analyze borrower credit profiles, income calculations, asset verification, and employment documentation to ensure adherence to investor guidelines
  • Conduct comprehensive TRID reviews to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Examine appraisal reports and collateral documentation to assess property value, condition, and market risk
  • Identify defects, inconsistencies, and emerging risk patterns, documenting findings with clear, wellsupported narratives
  • Complete reviews using the LauraMac Loan Review System and our internal audit platform.
  • What You Bring:
  • 3+ years of recent experience in a thirdparty mortgage due diligence environment
  • 2+ years of recent experience providing quality control audit feedback to due diligence Underwriters
  • 2+ years of recent experience conducting full TRID reviews.
  • 2+ years of recent handson experience with the LauraMac Loan Review System (perferred)
  • Strong understanding of mortgage underwriting guidelines and loan documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and written communication skills
