Job description

Job Title: Quality Control Senior Specialist

Location: Boston, MA

Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Control (QC) Senior Specialist with 6–8 years of GMP pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical laboratory experience to support QC testing, validation, and sample analysis. The ideal candidate will perform analytical testing, review laboratory data, investigate quality events, maintain cGMP compliance, and support laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform QC testing on in-process, release, and stability samples.

  • Conduct laboratory assays such as Flow Cytometry, Cell Counting, Cell Culture, Sterility (BACT), Endotoxin (LAL), and Visual Inspection.

  • Review analytical data and verify test results.

  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation in paper and electronic systems (LIMS/ELN).

  • Troubleshoot laboratory methods and support investigations related to Deviations, OOS (Out of Specification), and Quality Events.

  • Perform routine laboratory and equipment maintenance.

  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, cGDP, and laboratory quality standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support QC operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related Life Sciences discipline.

  • 6–8 years of experience in a GMP pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical QC laboratory.

  • Hands-on experience with Flow Cytometry, Cell Culture, Cell Counting, Sterility (BACT), Endotoxin (LAL), and Visual Inspection testing.

  • Experience with LIMS/Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) systems.

  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, cGDP, laboratory documentation, and data integrity.

  • Experience investigating Deviations, OOS, and other Quality Events.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
