Job description

Location:
Blakeslee Air Force Recreation Area (BAFRA)
108 Riverfront Road, Kure Beach, NC 28449Schedule:
  • Primary work hours: 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Early prep/checkout cleaning (as needed): 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
  • Schedule may vary based on occupancy, same-day unit changes, and service calls
  • Must be available on site whenever housekeeping services are being performed
Key Duties:
  • Remain on site at all times during cleaning operations
  • Inspect units to ensure cleaning meets required standards
  • Direct housekeeping staff and correct issues immediately
  • Communicate with BAFRA housekeeping using the housekeeping phone
  • Report maintenance issues, damages, and missing items
  • Track unit completion and report delays by 2:00 PM
  • Ensure all units are completed by 3:30 PM or re-cleaned within 24 hours if required
  • Oversee linen handling, supply restocking, keys, and lost-and-found
  • Ensure staff follow base rules and wear company-issued shirts
Required Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in housekeeping supervision, quality control, or facilities services
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, sanitation practices, and inspection procedures
  • Proven ability to manage staff without Government supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain on-site and mobile throughout the workday
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on government or military installations
  • Familiarity with Performance Work Statements (PWS) or service contracts
  • Experience managing time-sensitive turnover operations
