Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to support manufacturing operations in plastic and/or aerospace production environments. The Quality Control Inspector will ensure products meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements while maintaining compliance with applicable quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of plastic and aerospace components
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications (including GD&T where applicable)
  • Identify defects, document non-conformances, and initiate corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality standards
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues
  • Support audits, continuous improvement efforts, and customer requirements
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
  • 1+ year of blueprint reading
  • 1–3+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing (plastic, aerospace, or high-precision industries)
  • Ability to use common measuring tools and inspection equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • 1+ year of AS9100 First Article Inspection
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
