Job description

Our client is seeking a highly detail-oriented and technically capable Quality Assurance Engineer to support, maintain, and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures that products, processes, and systems comply with applicable ISO standards, customer requirements, contractual obligations, and internal procedures.


  • Maintain, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 or equivalent standards.
  • Ensure compliance with:

- Customer and contract requirements

- Engineering drawings and technical data packages

- Internal procedures and work instructions

- Applicable regulatory and industry standards

  • Support internal, customer, and external audits and manage audit findings and corrective actions.
  • Maintain quality records, objective evidence, and traceability documentation in accordance with QMS requirements.
  • Support management reviews and quality performance reporting.

Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.

  • Develop and maintain:

- Inspection and test plans

- Quality control procedures

- Process control documentation

  • Support and perform:

- Incoming inspection

- In-process inspection

- Final inspection

- First Article Inspections (FAI) where applicable

  • Ensure measurement and test equipment is used in accordance with calibration and control procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or manufacturing quality.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, corrective action systems, and quality documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and government or military contracts.
  • Experience with supplier quality management.
  • ASQ, ISO, or other quality-related certifications are a plus.

The Salary range is $50,000 - $70,000.
