Hours: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM. You will attend orientation at the normal start time then the following day you will com in at your schedule of 2:30PM. While working on the 2nd shift, a $2.00/hour shift differential will be added to the base hourly rate.
JOB SUMMARY: 
Performs daily inspections of integrated telecommunication shelters, modular buildings, energy storage containers and solar power conversion skids to ensure compliance to drawings and specifications. 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Perform ‘in-process’ and ‘final’ inspections of components in shelters, solar power conversion skids, and energy storage containers, shelter production & fabrication as required by QC checklists 
  • Conduct basic electrical testing of all systems 
  •  Interpret production drawings and shop details 
  • Ensure internal QC checklists are properly completed; verify punch list completion, & coordinate corrections with production team members 
  •  Clearly document product deficiencies; and follow up with QC management & production supervisors to ensure deficiencies are corrected before product is ready for shipment 
  •  Perform general inspections of shelters, skids, and containers as requested by QC Manager 
  • Performs other duties as assigned 
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
Work Experience: 1+ years of construction or inspection experience 
Education: Technical Certification or Trade School Completion / High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
Related Experience: 
  •  Proficient understanding of building code standards 
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills 
  • General understanding of electrical systems & components; working knowledge of NEC Electrical codes 
  • Proficient with hand and power tools 
  •  Ability to read a tape measure 
  • Attention to detail 
  • General mathematical skills 
  • General knowledge construction techniques and standards 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks; keep up in a fast-paced environment 
  •  Ability to communicate technical information to team members and/or customers 
  • General knowledge of computer / tablet applications 
WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights.  When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
