Job description

Salary:

Decatur Diamond, LLC, a manufacturer of diamond based tooling is seeking an Inspector to join our Qualify Control Department for our production facility located in Decatur, IN. The hours for this position will be 8:30 AM 5:00 PM,

Monday through Friday. The candidate will be responsible for final inspection of all parts. Must also perform calibration of inspection, measuring and testing equipment. Applicant must possess skills with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel and Word). Applicant also should be proficient in the use of inspection equipment.

The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined or have past Quality Control experience. Trade school or prior machining experience is preferred. We will train the right individual.

Responsibilities for Quality Control Inspector

  • Performing final inspection of parts according to established inspection criteria.
  • Calibration of inspection, measuring and testing equipment

Qualifications for Quality Control Inspector

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic knowledge of Inspection procedures including: prints/drawings, critical dimension and tolerances.
  • Basic knowledge of manual inspection equipment: micrometers, calipers, comparators
  • Proficient in reading drawings, prints and understanding inspection criteria
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Detailed- oriented with a good work ethic
  • Possess good basic math skills
  • Takes pride in assisting with the production of high quality American-made products
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to work in a team
