Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Quality Control Inspector / Receiving for a manufacturing plant in Conroe, TX. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $16–$20/hr. In this role, you will inspect incoming shipments, check finished parts and work-in-process on the manufacturing floor, and update the ERP system to receive and label product. The client provides on-the-job training for inspections and ERP entry, so this is a strong opportunity to grow into a long-term role.


Pay: $16–$20/hr
Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Location: Conroe, TX

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Primary workplace language(s): English / Spanish

Work Environment: Manufacturing Plant / Factory


Responsibilities

  • Verify accuracy of incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders (POs).
  • Check that all shipping and receiving documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Inspect finished parts and work-in-process on the manufacturing floor against specifications and drawings.
  • Confirm manufacturing documentation is being followed and filled out correctly on the line.
  • Use calipers, tape measures, and other dimensional instruments to check part specifications.
  • Enter receiving data into the ERP system and label product accurately.


Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or quality inspection role; basic computer skills, including Microsoft Windows and data entry.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience reading engineering drawings, blueprints, or dimensional specification documents.
  • Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools such as calipers or tape measures.
  • Experience using an ERP system for receiving, inventory entry, or data lookup.
  • Pallet jack operation experience.
  • Forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong math skills for dimensional comparison and measurement verification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
