Quality Assurance Technician - Food Manufacturing

Are you passionate about food safety, quality, and continuous improvement? We're looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join a growing food manufacturing team where you'll play a critical role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

What You'll Do
As a QA Technician, you'll help ensure every product meets strict food safety and quality standards by:
- Performing pre-operational and in-process sanitation inspections.
- Conducting quality testing, including pH, water activity (AW), viscosity, Brix, color, consistency, and sensory evaluations.
- Verifying HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and food safety compliance throughout production.
- Monitoring product quality from raw materials through finished goods.
- Performing ATP testing, environmental swabbing, and metal detector verification.
- Calibrating laboratory equipment, scales, and thermometers.
- Reviewing production records, labels, and quality documentation.
- Entering QA/QC data into the ERP system and preparing quality reports.
- Partnering with production teams to identify issues, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promoting food safety, sanitation, and employee hygiene throughout the facility.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of Quality Assurance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- HACCP Certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SSOPs, and food safety regulations.
- Experience performing laboratory testing and maintaining QA documentation.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with production teams.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Comfortable working in production, warehouse, and laboratory environments.
- Willingness to work around temperature changes, noise, moisture, and food processing equipment while following all required PPE and safety protocols.
